Currently I hold the position of Oman correspondent at Bloomberg LP. In 2009 I completed a B.Sc in Journalism from Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, Oman. 

Hello everyone, I am Turki Al-Balushi and I am a media entrepreneur and trained journalist. 

For the last 10 years, I have gained extensive experience in my field working with Oman-based and international media organizations and providing communication consultancy for projects and individuals. 

I am particularly familiar with contributing analyses for international institutes and think tanks in the field of policymaking and economy in the Gulf states (GCC). 

Additionally, I am the founder of a range of independent media platforms in Oman. 

In 2012, I founded ALBALAD (www.albaladoman.com) which became Oman’s first online newspaper. ALBALAD covers local news, politics, society, and business. 

In 2018, I started Alsekka podcast (https://soundcloud.com/alsekka) which is an Arabic-language platform that produces high-quality political discussions for the region. 

Over the last decade, I have participated in several media and journalism workshops and conferences in the GCC region and globally with Bloomberg LP, Deutsche Welle, Reuters, and other organizations and media houses.
